The following position is currently vacant at the Public Opinion Programme University of Hong Kong.


 

Web Programmer

 
 

Responsibilities:
(a) Develop web-based systems,
(b) Update and maintain existing websites, and
(c) Provide general technical support.

 
 

Requirements:
(a) Fresh graduates are welcome,
(b) Diploma/certificate in Computer Science or a related discipline
(c) Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript,
(d) Experience with LAMP is a must,
(e) Self-motivated, responsible, able to work under pressure.

 
 

Work Arrangements:
39 hours / week (Mon-Fri, flexi hours)
18 days of paid annual leaves

Analyst Programmer

 
 

Responsibilities:
(a) Develop new web-based systems and enhance existing applications
(b) Design, configure and enhance web-based opinion platforms
(c) Perform data processing & database administration
(d) To provide technical & supervisory support to the survey unit

 
 

Requirements:
(a) Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science or other related disciplines;
(b) Proficiency in PHP, MySQL and Javascript is required;
(c) Basic knowledge in Linux, Windows and system support is a must;
(d) More than 2 years working experience in software development;
(e) Knowledge in AJAX, jQuery, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver or MS Excel etc will be an obvious advantage;
(f) Self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, able to work under pressure and flexible working hours

 Part-time Telephone Interviewers
 
 

Duty: To conduct telephone interviews.

 
 

Working hours: 6:30pm-10:30pm; 1 to 6 days per week.

 
 

Requirements: (a) education level of F.7 or above; (b) fluent Cantonese, English and Putonghua; (c) good communication skills with polite manners; (d) self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility and hard working; (e) ready to follow work instructions; (f) capable of Chinese word processing.
